Adunlekan International Academy is a school that has great facilities for learning and we are doing what we must to build a school where we can really teach excellence. ADMISSION PROCESS
Admission procedures take place between March to August annually for the academic year. You can obtain an admission form into Adunlekan International Academy at a fee of N7,000 for Pre-school, Nursery and Year One to Six pupils and N10,000 for secondary school students from the school or you can download one online. Once the completed form is returned, the admission officer will schedule the child for a highly competitive entrance examination. An interview is conducted for successful candidates and their parents. A letter of admission is issued upon fulfilment of all conditions and admission confirmed.
The School curriculum
Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS).
At Adunlekan International Academy, we believe children learn best through physical and mental challenges. The curriculum is delivered using a mixture of child initiated play and adult led activities. Active learning takes place because play is purposeful and children are engaged. We believe in ‘personalized learning’ whereby we plan for children as individuals ensuring activities are geared to their interests, style of learning and level of development.
Parents are made very welcome in the Reception and Nursery classes and information about what the children have been doing is shared with them at regular intervals. Cambridge Primary Cambridge Primary is an International Education Programme, typically for young learners aged 5 to 11 years and is used in primary schools around the world.
At Adunlekan, we develop young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. We develop skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Cambridge Global Perspectives and ICT Starters. The curriculum is flexible with clear learning objectives. Cambridge Primary helps our pupils by: allowing teachers to assess their learning as they progress developing their skills so that they are innovative, confident and engaged preparing them for Lower Secondary Checkpoint and IGCSEs/International GCSEs giving them a love of learning that will stay with them through school, university and beyond.
COLLEGE
We offer 21st century learning which embodies an approach to teaching that marries content to skill. Without skills, students are left to memorize facts, recall details for worksheets, and relegate their educational experience to passivity. At Adunlekan International Academy, we are giving our students the skills they need to succeed in this new world especially in the areas of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence,3d Animation Training and Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship training. With so much information readily available to them, 21st century skills focus more on making sense of that information, sharing and using it in smart ways.
